Interactive Cuisine

Christine Caswell

Tired of the same old dinner plans? Then grab a group of friends, and dine "in" for your next get-together! A Boston chef will come to your home, and not only prepare a gourmet meal, but you and your guests get in on the act! Christine Caswell is on-assignment.

Instead of doing a first course and holiday entertaining Trish Walker wanted something different for her monthly ladies lunch group at her Concord home. So for flavor, she invited Chef Julia Shanks to orchestrate an intimate but chummy gathering, where the guests doubled as the Chefs!

Julia owns and operates Interactive Cuisine. She'll come into your home, and get you and your friends in on the act of putting together a five star menu. We're talking wild rice pancakes with Crem fresh and caviar; cream puffs filled with peppered brie, topped with fig and onion jam; vanilla scented pork tenderloin with sweet potato puree. Sound daunting? It's not, if Julia shows you how.

Donna Kruse, Guest
"So many people are intimidated, you don't need to be."

"I like to take the mystery out."
Trish's group learned to carmelize figs, toss them like a pro, and even chop with the best of them.

"You never have to worry about losing your fingers."
For the person who prefers home over a restaurant, Interactive Cuisine is the perfect ingredient.

Trish Walker
"You can say anything you want to say. Out in public in a restaurant you can't do that."

The cost of this? It starts at $55 dollars per person. For more information, call Interactive Cuisine in Boston.
